Renter’s Responsibility

By renting, a simple rental agreement is entered into, and valid identification must be presented. The renter must be over 18 years old.

All users must be able to swim, and wearing a life jacket is mandatory throughout the entire rental period. We recommend staying close to shore if you are not experienced with SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard). Users are responsible for their own life jacket. Free life jackets are available for loan at the boat ramp 30 meters from the sauna, between the sauna and the café in Lårdal. Check availability in advance or bring your own.

A paddle is included in the rental price.

NOTE! THE UNDERSIDE OF THE SUP BOARDS HAS FINS THAT MUST BE HANDLED CAREFULLY. THE BOARDS MUST NEVER BE DRAGGED ALONG THE GROUND OR SHORE. ALWAYS LIFT IN THE MIDDLE USING THE HANDLE.

Bandak/Telemark Canal has little current here in Lårdal, but sudden weather changes with strong winds can cause unexpectedly large waves without warning. Always be aware of the weather. This is also a good reason to stay relatively close to shore.

The equipment is rented at your own risk. The renter is responsible for compensating any damage to or loss of the paddleboard and associated equipment.
